Review of Belkin F8Z492TTP Bluetooth Music Receiver:Tiny But Not a Toy
Belkin F8Z492TTP Bluetooth Music Receiver has a tiny body among all the receivers I reviewed. Its weight is only 8.5 ounces, and about 1cm high in dimension. But this tiny device has all you needs for a Bluetooth audio receiver.
- Stream music wirelessly through your home stereo
- Bluetooth 2.0 support compatible with A2DP
- Convenient control and easy setup
- Pairs with up to six devices
- Transmission up to 33 feet
Simple and Easy Set-Up
All you have to do is plug in the power, connect it to the AUX jack on the speaker, and it’s all ready to go! Get the tablet/phone and connect to Bluetooth and wallah! It’s music fill my ears instantly.
Acceptable Sound Quality
Many reviews claim that this little bluetooth music receiver made terrible sounds. Let’s correct right now: This little device sounds good! Its fidelity is better than usually thought, even without help from some new techniques. A couple of audiophiles visited griped a little bit but stated that they have no problem listening to music through it. My sound system is about $1000 ,though theirs cost about $6-10,000. If your system is more like me, then you’ll like the quality of this device. If yours are more expensive, go for Grace Digital Integrated Stereo Amplifier or Mass Fidelity Relay Hi-Fi Wireless Bluetooth Receiver, these are what you need. But generally speaking, trust me, the sound quality is good!
Connect up to Six Different Devices
The Receiver will store information for up to six different devices, making it easy for everyone of your family even friends to connect their own devices and enjoy their music.
Low Profile, Elegant Design
The discreet and elegant design of the Receiver complement your stereo system very well. Its small, unobtrusive footprint fits easily next to your stereo or speakers, It can be put on or behind speakers.
What’s in the Box
The main Receiver, power cable, 3.5mm-to-RCA cable, and 3.5mm-to-3.5mm cable and instructions
This product is a great solution to solve the problem of wanting to walk in the room, turn on the stereo and have music from the phone play without hassle.
The audio quality is clean and the only thing I have a little issue with is the Bluetooth’s range. it works well within 20 feet. Past that point, the audio seems to jump in and out. It’s good to leave the device up with nothing blocking it to get a better connection. But, an overall good product with a very attractive price. For now, maybe less than 30 bulks!
Belkin has updated this little device to a new model which has the same outside. It is available for pre-order on Amazon.com and will be released on April 4, 2014. I can only judge from the tech features the company provide. The bluetooth version is elevated to Bluetooth 2.1+A2DP compatible. You will get a compare review as soon as I get this new model.
